Hi, I'm Dan, and I'm a fully trained and accredited, practicing Art Psychotherapist based in the Wyre Forest, offering in person art therapy locally and online art therapy to anyone in the UK.
I have extensive experience working with both patients both in inpatient and community settings, with a wealth of knowledge and experience in dealing with patients suffering from Trauma, Depression, anxiety, and low self esteem.
I am a fully accredited member of the British Association of Arts Therapists (BAAT), and am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, meaning I must adhere to the highest standards of practice and ethics for my profession.
I am currently private online art therapy to anyone in the UK, and in person art therapy sessions to those here in the Wyre Forest. I have and training and experience in a range of psychological models, a particular passion for utilising popular culture such as comics, games, movies and TV in uniquely tailored art therapy approaches.
If you have any further queries about my education, training or practice, please feel free to get in touch, I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have!
I provide a warm, human and authentic approach that is trauma-informed and person-centred, using principles from evidence-based psychological models such as Mentalisation Based Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy to help inform and develop Art Psychotherapy interventions that are specific to the client's needs. I believe that offering online art therapy allows these interventions to become even more tailored to the client, allowing them the freedom to work from the comfort of their own safe space.
From brief interventions to longer term work, I offer a safe and compassionate online art therapy experience, helping clients explore issues such as identity, self-esteem, feelings of guilt and shame, low mood; depression; anxiety; trauma; and forming and maintaining relationships. I also have a special interest in incorporating popular culture into bespoke, purposeful art therapy interventions, which you can find out more about here.
